Digital animation is an untapped resource in student educational experiences. To animate is to express a feeling, tell a story, to relate information, and/or to demonstrate understanding. Students can demonstrate learning through animation. This session focuses on developing cross-curricular, digital animation projects wherein students demonstrate learning through the process of creating an animation. In an attempt at equitable access, the software utilized are free, intuitive, web-based applications. During this hands-on learning session, participants receive copies of digital animation lesson plans, an overview of the different software used, and have time to participate in a hands-on, summative, digital animation activity.
